Standing 173 meters tall, the escalators at the Umeda Sky Building are said to be the tallest, or one of the tallest escalators in the world. They connect two seperate skyscrapers over, well, lots of open air. The public observation deck on the roof is accessed by a glass elevator, then escalators in glass tubes suspended under a round opening between the two joined towers.
