I recommend this in addition to Disneyland, but not instead of Disneyland. DCA has some cool stuff - the Tower of Terror, California Screamin', Soarin' Over California, and - most importantly - the Electrical Parade (not year-round; check the calendar). And the food is good; I'm a passholder and we often hop over to DCA for dinner and the parade.
But none of that can replace the feel of walking down Main Street toward Sleeping Beauty's castle. If you can't do both, just do Disneyland.
