Even though I was born and raised in NJ, my first Disney experience was at Disneyland in LA. That's because my mom's family is all from LA so we would visit them and go to Disneyland for a few days. I fell in love with Disney when I was on a trip there around the age of 7. I've since been back a few times over the years (the latest being last weekend) and it's still magical, though not quite AS magical as it was when I was a kid. Even though now I see past all the pizazz and get that Disney is a money-making machine, you can still find my skipping down the street and humming along with the tunes filling the air. The rides are lots of fun, and even though I enjoy thrill rides it's also nice to have an entire park filled with rides that are on the tame side (at least for an adult.) My favorite ride is definitely the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It's so much fun! The new buzz lightyear interactive ride is fun too, but I prefer Toy Story Midway mania at the neighboring California's Adventure Park.

The cool thing about Disnyland is knowing that Walt walked down that very same Main Street!
Have you done it too? Check it off!
