Montara from the list California Lighthouses

Great place. A small lighthouse tucked out of sight from the highway. I'm in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and for a couple of years, we went to check the light and cleaned the window panes. This is actually the "lost" lighthouse from Massachusetts. Although it has been sitting in Montara for 80 years, it was only "discovered" earlier this year (2008). Search the internet to read about it. There is a hostel nearby that you can stay at. I've heard that this is a good whale watching area.
