Non-Smithsonian Museums in DC
Having worked in DC a couple times in my life, I have probably visited tons of museums in DC. The Newseum is perhaps my favorite. I haven't been to its new incarnation on the Mall, (it was still being built last time I was there), but at its original incarnation in Roslyn, it brought a tear to my eye. I'm not a journalist myself, but the museum made a compelling case that journalists are the guardians of democracy, and delivered a powerful message of the importance of journalism in the world today.
