  • Senderens (not Le Senderens) is fantastic. It used to have 3 Michelin stars under chef Alain Senderens when it was known as Lucas Carton, but he famously gave them back, changed the concept to a much more modern design and hired younger staff to avoid the stresses and huge wage bills. Although the service is sketchy, the food is sublime. It's the same price in Euros as Pied a Terre in London is in pounds. When the exchange rate was much better this was the outstanding choice of the two. Both have 2 Michelin stars, but Senderens is on a completely different level in terms of food and wine.
