David Clements diddit and says: Always a Struggle In the past when I've tried to slim down, it was always tied with the aim of improving my conditioning, usually with the goal of going on a trip where I would need to be in good shape. Diet alone has never worked for me, likewise exercise alone has never worked for me. Trying to eat healthy, in controlled amounts, has usually been a big step in the right direction.
