Really Beautiful fountain....you must throw 3 coins in (an old movie 3 Coins in the Fountain) tradition. I saw this right after doing the Spanish steps....everything in Rome is so-o memorable, it was like being back in Latin class again.]]>

I climbed the steps up to the top of the dome & it was worth it all of the way, back in the late 60's you could still do this. THe art museum was FABULOUS, even if much smaller than I expected. I got to see Michangelo's Last Supper , moments before the museum closed for the day. Michangelo's stature was in the church back then,...Mother & Child (I think).]]>

This was one of the landmarks I visited back in the late 60's as I toured Europe with Arthur Frommer's $5 book in tote. National Geographic has a stunning educational documentary on this landmark....it is long but worth it, quite informing, interesting, and really worthy of viewing.]]>

Yes, this is a must walk for the visitor! I did Europe on $5 a day over 30 years ago & this was one of quite a few landmarks I was fortunate enought to see & walk up.]]>
