Going on the 4th of July probably spared us almost all bike traffic on the trails. We did about 5 miles of hiking down along El Corte de Madera Creek trail and then back up the Fir Trail. It's mostly quietly and beautifully wooded with a few spots where you can catch a view. We stopped at a very cool Sandstone landmark where erosion has created some odd looking pock-marks in the rock.
